Nusa Lembongan is a beautiful island located southeast of Bali, Indonesia. The island has a relaxed vibe with secluded resorts, delicious restaurants and beautiful beaches.

To get there, get a car to take you to Sanur Harbour and book a ferry through Bali Ferries. It is about $15USD per person and a 30 minute road on the fast boat to get to Nusa Lembongan.

Nusa Lembongan also has tons of attractions for anyone who loves to explore nature at its finest. Between the hikes, beaches, scenic views, snorkeling and biking Nusa Lembongan gives you the adventure you've been looking for. Overall, if you are looking for fun nature adventures, quiet secluded resorts, and relaxing days on the beach Nusa Lembongan is the place to go! Places to Stay

Sunset VIllas

Some popular high end options include the Acala Shri Sedana, which offers private villas with a private pool, the Batu Karang Lembongan Resort and Day Spa, which overlooks the ocean and has a luxurious spa, and the Lembongan Beach Club & Resort, which has stunning bungalows and a large pool. All of these resorts provide top-notch amenities and offer a popular place to stay while exploring the island. Additionally, they are located close to the popular attractions, restaurants, and bars on the island, making them the perfect base for your Nusa Lembongan adventure.

There are many budget-friendly places to stay for people visiting Nusa Lembongan. The low-cost accommodation options, such as homestays, guesthouses, and backpacker lodges offer comfortable, clean, and affordable rooms to travelers. These places provide a great sense of community and opportunity for cultural immersion. Some of the best places that feel like a resort without the price tag, and even include attached restaurants and free breakfasts include; Nusa Veranda Sunset Villas and Restaurant which is right on the beach and very close to some of the infamous attractions, The Soggol Lembongan which is very close to mushroom bay and a 5 min walk to the beach, and Naturale Villas which is on the beach and you get your own private bungalow.

Most resorts have their own restaurant and bar. Happy Hour was $4USD cocktails and $3USD large bintangs

Places to Visit

Mushroom Beach is the first on the list for its stunning natural beauty and clear turquoise waters and white sandy beaches. It is a popular spot among tourists as it offers a variety of activities such as swimming, surfing, snorkeling, and beach volleyball. The beach is surrounded by lush green hills, cliffs and coconut trees, which adds to its serene atmosphere. Additionally, there are several restaurants and bars available that offer delicious local cuisine and refreshing drinks.

Dream Beach and Devil's Tear, the next must see if you are in Nusa Lembongan. Dream Beach is an amazing secluded beach down off the cliffs where the waves are massive and the water is clean. Around there is a massive resort area and during our visit there were three weddings being hosted that week. There are many beautiful photo opportunities.

Next to Dream Beach is Devil's tear another spectacular viewing attraction. It is a magnificent cliff formation that offers an inspiring view of the Indian Ocean. The waves crashing against the cliffs and rocks creates a mesmerizing display of water splashing and misting, creating a picturesque backdrop for people who love a good action photo. Visitors can also explore the rocky terrain and sea caves located near the site. The access to the site is easy, and several tour operators in the area offer boat rides to the Devil's Tear. The Devil's Tear Nusa Lembongan is undoubtedly a must-visit destination for nature lovers looking for a thrilling experience.

The Point on Ceningan Island is a very unique experience. To get there you must ride across the yellow bridge from Nusa Lembongan to Ceningan Island and then up a very steep, bumpy gravel road for a little over a mile.

I would suggest not using a moped and hiring an actual off roading means of travel because the road is very turbulent. However, they are starting to pave more roads so I'm sure the it will be better in coming years. Once you are at the cliffs, there is a variety of different photo spots that are a little unstable but worth it because the views off the cliff are breathtaking. This area is very quiet and secluded, not swarmed with tourists but has immaculate views if you endure the travel up the mountain.

Places to Eat:

Ohana's Restaurant on the beach is especially known for the spectacular view of the sunset. You can finish your adventurous day with cocktails and dinner over looking the sunset on the ocean. This resort and restaurant is frequented by a lot of Australians and Europeans so the prices are a lot higher than many other local restaurants.

Honestly just go have a look around there are somany different places to eat and all of the food is delicious!

Travel Tips

#1. The outlets in Bali are European

#2. Make Sure to bring a charging brick

#3. The WIFI is very spotty at best. If you have to work remotely or need GPS etc, I would suggest either buying a cheap international plan or they have sim cards stores on the island that cost next to nothing. With these sim cards you can use your phone and hotspot your laptop for work purposes.

#4. USE CASH. There are 3-5% tax plus 5% charge for using your card. Most places in Uluwatu will take card but there are taxes and card charges involved. It is cheaper to use cash. ALSO, there are tons of ATMS in the towns away from the airport so wait until you get to the place you are staying in to get cash out. The exchange rate in the towns versus the airport and even your home country is so much better for your dollar.

#5. Rent a Motor Bike. Nusa Lembongan and Ceningan islands are quite small but renting a scooter for about $5USD a day is the best option for getting around. We suggest renting one through the place you are staying. That being said, PLEASE make sure you are very familiar riding a motor bike as the road laws are very unorthodox and the roads aren't the best. Lastly, ALWAYS wear a helmet!! Some travel insurance companies won't pay out your claim if you are not wearing one.
