TRAVEL TIPS
#1. The outlets in Bali are European
#2. Make Sure to bring a charging brick
#3. The Wifi is very spotty at best. If you have to work remotely or need GPS etc, I would suggest either buying a cheap international plan or they have sim cards stores on the island that cost next to nothing. With these sim cards you can use your phone and hotspot your laptop for work purposes.
#4. USE CASH. There are 3-5% tax plus 5% charge for using your card. Most places in Uluwatu will take card but there are taxes and card charges involved. It is cheaper to use cash. ALSO, there are tons of ATMS in the towns away from the airport so wait until you get to the place you are staying in to get cash out. The exchange rate in the towns versus the airport and even your home country is so much better for your dollar.
#5. Watch out for monkeys! Monkeys are always around so make sure you are watching your stuff and do not leave anything out of sight. They are also attracted to food so it is better to eat inside.
